SOFT CRASH ︎︎︎ POSTERS

INTRODUCTION:
Soft Crash is a series of three prints. They were made at a time of uncertainty during the early Summer of 2020.

Using my surroundings, as my home in Ireland is by the sea, I looked at seaweed as physical examples ‘waves’ of emotions and the ever changing markers. The visuals were paired with a selection of 3 quotes that tided in with the theme of the sea and changes.

THIS MUST BE THE PLACE ︎︎︎CONCEPT
INTRODUCTION:
We were asked by Hens Teeth to envision our own perception of Paradise and to create a flag for it. Rather than paradise being a fixed location, we defined it as a state of mind with interchangeable perceptions.

What we perceive to be known as paradise, over a period of time, inevitably becomes our mundane reality once we obtain it. The contradictory nature of the idea of paradise can be seen when we visit tropical locations. These locations are enforced and sold with superficial layers to us as the ideal paradise, yet to the inhabitants, this is their reality.

DECENT DRINKS CLUB ︎︎︎ IDENTITY

INTRODUCTION:
A mini identity for The Circular’s take-away drink service. The identity draws on the large variation of shapes and colours of beer and wine labels that can be found in The Decent Drinks Club. Similar to the identity of The Circular, the owners wanted an approach that was not too strict and serious which can eventually be built on further as the brand grows.

GARVEY MOTORS ︎︎︎ IDENTITY

INTRODUCTION:
Garvey Motors is a small scale car dealership located in Dún Laoghaire, who specialises in selling a refined selection of high-quality cars while staying friendly and approachable.

The identity system for Garvey Motors was inspired by the exclusive selection of cars that they will have in their showroom—never two of the same. This allowed for a reflexible system consisting of abstract patterns based on the spokes of the car wheels paired with a vibrant colour palette.

EVERYONE COUNTS ︎︎︎ MENTORSHIP

INTRODUCTION:
Everyone Counts is a community-based maths initiative project for primary schools across Dublin. The project was first developed in 2018 by Robert Farrelly, co-founder of Post Studio, alongside Sorcha Browne, a researcher, mathematician and scientist in UCD and Shane Bergin, a physicist and assistant professor in science education at UCD.

The aim of the project was to prove that everyone is good at maths if they give it a try. In 2019 the project expanded to include six co-teaching teams made up of a mathematician and a designer, one team for each of the six schools taking part.

I teamed up with mathematician and astrophysicist, Aoife McCluskey. Aoife and I worked in an all-girls school over the nine weeks.
